Trivallis celebrates fundraising success (Saesneg yn unig)

15 May 2023

Following its launch in May 2019, Trivallis is celebrating the success of its four-year charity partnership with Alzheimer’s Society Cymru.

Alzheimer’s Society Cymru supports those living with dementia and their loved ones across Wales. From May 2019 until March 2023, Trivallis staff and tenants have worked together to raise vital funds for the charity, the proceeds of which have been used to support those living with dementia across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

The partnership was due to run until May 2021, but was extended due to the challenges faced in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout the four years, Trivallis staff and tenants have worked together to raise money for the charity in numerous ways including cake sales, exercise challenges, raffles and more!

Tracey Cooke, Senior Manager for Partnerships at Trivallis said: “It has been a real team effort from both staff and tenants with their unwavering support for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru. We really pulled together to overcome the challenges the pandemic threw at us, and we want to say thank you to everyone who has helped support the charity over the last four years.

“We would also like to say a big thank you to Alzheimer’s Society Cymru for working in partnership with Trivallis and being our charity partner.”

Jess Bowring Alzheimer’s Society Cymru, Community Fundraiser for South Wales said: “We are so grateful to the staff and tenants at Trivallis, for all their incredible efforts over the last four years, at a time when everyone faced so many challenges. It means so much that you all took the time to support Alzheimer’s Society Cymru.

“There are over 50,00 people living with dementia in Wales. But we simply can’t reach everyone without the continued support of our incredible fundraisers like you. A third of us will develop dementia in our lifetimes, making it the biggest health and social care challenge we face.

“Alzheimer’s Society Cymru is a vital source of support and a powerful force for change for everyone affected by dementia. We want everyone affected by dementia to know that whoever you are, whatever you’re going through, you can turn to us for expert support through practical advice, emotional support, and guidance for the best next step.
